Project Overview
PsyGenius is an AI-powered learning platform built specifically for psychology university students in Germany. We built the full product — web app, iOS app, and Android app — featuring an adaptive quiz engine, realistic exam simulations, and a live AI Q&A tutor that answers questions the way a professor would. The product runs on a one-time purchase model (no subscriptions) with individual module packs.
Psychology students were struggling to prepare for highly specific university exams using generic flashcard tools that weren't built for their curriculum. They needed an exam engine that mirrored real exam formats, identified their weak spots, and gave them instant expert explanations — not just answers.
We built a custom adaptive quiz engine powered by the OpenAI API that generates exam-format multiple-choice questions, adjusts difficulty based on user performance, and delivers detailed AI explanations for every wrong answer. The mobile apps (React Native + Expo) replicate the exact 5-option format used in German psychology exams, with a Mentori mascot that drives daily habit formation through streaks and challenges.
